Who We Are:
The Somali Rowing and Canoe Federation (SRCF) is the national governing body for rowing and paddling sports in Somalia. Established to promote and organize water sports, we aim to inspire a new generation of athletes, enthusiasts, and communities.

As Somalia reconnects with its coastal and riverine heritage, SRCF brings an innovative and inclusive sport to the forefront — rowing and canoeing. We’re working from the ground up to introduce and grow this sport for all Somalis, regardless of background.

Our Mission
We are a people-centered organization promoting rowing and canoeing for all Somalis — with a special focus on girls and persons with disabilities. We create safe, inclusive paddling opportunities that build confidence, community, and athleticism while celebrating Somalia’s deep connection to water.

To establish a nationally recognized platform where rowing and canoeing drive inclusion, empower girls and persons with disabilities, and foster unity, resilience, and pride among all Somalis through equitable access to water sports.
